BRIDGEPORT, CONNECTICUT (August 3, 2016) The Sugar Land Skeeters scored six runs in the second inning to down the Bridgeport Bluefish by the score of 10-6 at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport Connecticut on Wednesday, August 3, 2016. Sugar Land pushed their second half record to 16-11 and post a 51-47 season record in 2016.
Second baseman Jeff Dominguez went two-for-six at the plate,
scoring two runs and tallying four RBI. Left fielder Ricky Hague also added
three RBI. Dominguez four RBI came on a home run in the second inning; his
eighth of the season. Starter Roy Merritt receive the win, his sixth of the
season. Bluefish starter Mike Antonini was credited with the loss. The Skeeters and Bluefish will continue the series on
Thursday, August 4 in the third game of the series.
