HOUSTON, TEXAS (January 1, 2018) The Texas Southern Tigers downed the Southern Tigers by the score of 78-66 at H&PE Arena on New Year's Day. Derrick Bruce tallied 28 points for TSU while Demontrae Jefferson added 25. Trayvon Reed pulled down 11 rebounds in the effort. The Tigers moved to 1-13 for the season and 1-0 SWAC.
