Uruguay dominates Mexico 4-1 in international friendly at NRG Stadium

HOUSTON, TEXAS (September 7, 2018) After completing in 103rd cap it the 2018 World Cup in Russia, striker Luis Suarez (No. 9, shown right) nailed two goals to lead No. 5 Uruguay to a 4-1 win over No. 16 Mexico in the final game of the 2018 Mexican National Team U.S. Tour on Friday evening, The 60,617 soccer fans at Houston's NRG Stadium witnessed a classic match of give-and-take between two national teams that have a long and stories history in international soccer.

The first goal came 22 minutes into the match when defender Jose Maria Gimenez found himself in the right place at the right time, driving the ball pass Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa for the score. Forward Jonathan Urretaviscaya handled the assist. Mexico evened the score three minutes later on a penality kick by Raul Jimenez. Uruuay followed the Mexico goal with three unanswered socres of their own. Suarez nailed his first goal in the 32nd minute and added his penalty kick score nine minutes later. Forward Gaston Pererio secured the final score of the match, in thr 59th minute, with the assist coming from Suarez.
