HOUSTON, TEXAS (January 6, 2019) The Houston SaberCats has signed forward Alejandro Nieto to their 2019 roster. He has 63 caps for the Uruguayan National Team and formally played for Champagnat. He played for Uruguay in the 2015 Rugby World Cup He has been an active participant in the Uruguay qualifying run for RWC 2019, gaining the final place in pool D. This included victories over Canada, Namibia, Russia and Spain.
The SaberCats kick off their 2018 season on Friday, January 11, 2019 against Austin Elite at Constellation Field in Sugar Land, Texas with an 8 p.m. CST.
