BAYLOR BASEBALL SUMMER REPORT: EDITION THREE

YARMOUTH, MASSACHEUSES (June 18, 2008) Baylor right-hander Craig Fritsch made a strong impression on the Cape Cod League in his first career Cape appearance Monday night for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox against the Brewster Whitecaps. With the beginning of the Cape Cod season last weekend, all summer leagues with Baylor
student-athletes are in action.

One of eight Bears assigned to Cape Cod League, Fritsch held Brewster scoreless
over 6.0 innings. Fritsch, a rising sophomore, allowed only one hit and had
seven strikeouts against no walks. The effort was for naught, though, as Fritsch
gained a no-decision. Fritsch left the game with Yarmouth-Dennis leading 1-0,
but the Whitecaps scored two runs in the eighth inning to take the lead. The Red
Sox scored a run in the bottom of the ninth, and the game ended in a 2-2 tie.

Rising sophomore right-hander Shawn Tolleson also had a no-decision in his first
Cape Cod League start. Tolleson, who also pitches for Yarmouth-Dennis, allowed
three runs, two earned, on eight hits and one walk with three strikeouts over
5.0 innings. He left the game with the Red Sox and the Harwich Mariners tied
3-3; Harwich eventually won the game 6-5 in 11 innings.

Elsewhere in the Cape, Harwich plans to use rising junior right-hander Willie
Kempf as its closer. Kempf has appeared in one game and did record a save. He
struck out the side in one inning of work and allowed one hit. Rising junior
catcher Gregg Glime and rising junior outfielder Aaron Miller are with the
Chatham A's. Miller is 5-for-11 with two RBI in the team's first three games.
Glime has made one start. Rising junior infielder Raynor Campbell is with the
Wareham Gatemen; he is 1-for-7 with one RBI through the first three games.
