Houston-Firpo Match in Champions League™ Rescheduled for November 26

NEW YORK, NEW YORK (September 22, 2008) The Houston Dynamo will play CD Luis Angel Firpo on Wednesday, 26 November, to replace the CONCACAF Champions League™ match that was postponed due to Hurricane Ike.

Ike struck Houston on the morning of 13 September, causing flooding, wind damage and power outages across the metropolitan area and forcing the match on 17 September to be delayed.

The Dynamo also had to postpone its Saturday league match against the San Jose Earthquakes, citing the apprehension of city officials who were still looking to restore street lights in some sections and were concerned about public safety.

The CONCACAF Champions League™ match will be played at Houston’s Robertson Stadium at 7 p.m. local time three days after the USA’s MLS Cup championship game in Los Angeles and three days before the 18th and final round of the El Salvador's Apertura season.
