DEER PARK, TEXAS (March 19, 2009) The second round of games in the 2009 National Invitational Tournament (NIT) begins today (March 19) and concludes on March 23.
My picks are listed below. I have predicted two upsets by lower seeded teams; those being Baylor (3) over Virginia Tech (2) and Rhode Island (6) over Penn State (2)

San Diego State over Kansas State
St. Mary's (CA) over Davidson
Auburn over Tulsa
Baylor over Virgina Tech
Creighton over Kentucky
Notre Dame over New Mexico
Florida over Miami, Fla.
Rhode Island over Penn State
