(LEAGUE CITY TX, July 12, 2006) The Bay Area Toros finally put a notch in the win column with a 4-3 victory over the Lewisville Lizards on Thursday evening.
In a game that saw a 1 hours 28 minute rain delay, Marcus Chandler hit a walk off double in the bottom of the ninth inning to secure the victory. He went 3 for 5 with 1 RBI in the victory, raising the Toros' record to 7-16 for the season.
Pitcher Gabe Wardsaw four innings of action, giving up three hits and striking out four.
The Toros return to the field against the Lizards on Friday for the second game of the five game series.
